The Cubs Caravan is coming to Freeport, IL
and Little Cubs Field!

AGENDA:

Doors Open: 5 p.m.

VIP Reception: 5:15 – 6:15 p.m.

Tickets: $300 for adults; $100 for children 12 and under (each adult may bring two children).

An hour-long VIP reception before the event in the Masonic Temple’s Crystal Room will allow 50 lucky fans to take photos and obtain autographs from the Cubs celebrities. VIP tickets include entry into the main event as well food and beverages during the VIP reception.

The Cubs Celebrities coming to the Cubs Caravan are as follows;
Manager Lou Piniella, players Ryan Theriot, Rich Hill, Carlos Marmol, Kevin Hart, Jeff Samardzija, broadcasters Len Kaspar and Bob Brenly, first base coach Matt Sinatro, director of player development Oneri Fleita.

Autograph Session: 6:30 – 7:15 p.m.

Tickets are $50 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under accompanied by an adult.

Tickets include autograph session, a silent auction, a Q&A session with the Cubs celebrities, and stadium food.

Q&A Session: 7:15 – 8:00 p.m.

FREEPORT, Ill. – 7 Jan. 2008 – Cubs fans who couldn’t make it to Freeport to get tickets for the Cubs Caravan event that will bring 10 Cubs celebrities to Freeport’s Masonic Temple Wednesday, Jan. 16 can now charge their tickets by phone.

A limited number of tickets (both VIP and general) are available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays by calling (815) 232-2121, ext. 221. Only MasterCard and Visa can be accepted.

Tickets purchased through Thursday, Jan. 10 will be mailed at no charge via First Class Mail to the recipients. After Thursday, an additional charge will apply, as tickets must be sent via overnight delivery service.

Tickets to the main event are $50 for adults and $20 for children. VIP reception tickets are $300 for adults and $100 for children; limit two children per adult.

Tickets for the event also are available at Kent Bank, 996 W. Fairview Road in Freeport, during business hours. Kent Bank’s lobby is open Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. The drive-through is open Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Payment for tickets of cash or check only is accepted at Kent Bank.

The Caravan, which will be held at the Masonic Temple, 305-315 W. Stephenson Street in Freeport, will benefit Little Cubs Field in Freeport, with 25 percent of Little Cubs Field’s proceeds going to The Freeport Community Foundation where a fund will be established to support recreation programs for children in Stephenson County.

Sponsors for the event currently include FHN, Freeport Industrial Roofing, the Freeport Park District, Highland Women’s Care, Loescher Heating and Air Conditioning,      State Bank, The Helm Group, The Morse Group and Winter Construction. These sponsors are covering the expenses of the event in order to allow the proceeds to be distributed as outlined above. In addition, the Masonic Temple and Big Radio are providing generous in-kind support. 

Guests at the VIP reception in the Crystal Room will have the opportunity to visit with the Cubs, pose for photos and obtain autographs from the Cubs celebrities on the Caravan. Food and beverages will be served at the VIP reception (included in ticket cost), and VIP tickets include entry into the main Caravan event.

The main event begins with an autograph session from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. in the main ballroom.  Event ticket holders will receive a lottery ticket good for one autograph of a Cubs celebrity, determined the night of the event. Stadium food will be provided during the main event (soft drinks and food included in ticket cost, beer/wine available for purchase). Photos may be taken but posing for shots with celebrities will not be permitted, and photos must be used for personal purposes only. Silent auction items will be on display and open for bidding from 5 to 7:15 p.m. in the main ballroom as part of the event. A question-and-answer session with the Cubs celebrities follows the autograph session from 7:15 to 8 p.m. in the main auditorium.
